Any SOP can be conducted on a "one-time" basis. That's why you see the button next to every SOP within the "Manage SOPs" sub-module.
When should I use the "Complete Now" button?
The "Complete Now" button gives you and your team an extra level of flexibility with your SOPs. With the click of a button, any user can self-assign an SOP and start checking off tasks. It's perfect for:
- SOPs that need to be done infrequently or at unpredictable times
- When an employee isn't able to conduct their scheduled assignment and someone else needs to pick it up
Conducting an SOP "now"
The "Complete Now" button is found in two places within your SOPs module, including:
- Next to every SOP in your list of SOPs
- Above your list of tasks when viewing an SOP
Once you click the button, you'll be prompted to enter a location where you can complete the SOP. The location dropdown will only show locations relevant to the user who is conducting.
After selecting a location, you'll be taken directly to the conduct SOP screen.
Note: The "Complete Now" button will only appear when an SOP has at least one task.
Can any employee use the "Complete Now" button?
Yep. We realize that you can't predict when some SOPs need to be done, and the best person to conduct it at the moment might not be a Manager.
For that reason, we made it so even Employees can choose to complete an SOP now. To make it easier for Employees to verify that they are assigning the correct SOP, they also have the ability to see the SOP before assigning it. They can't, however, edit any of the tasks or header fields within the SOP.
