Simplifya's SOPs feature is designed so that you don't always have to go through the process of creating an SOP assignment in order to conduct an SOP yourself. We understand that some procedures just need to be checked or completed sporadically, which is why we created the "Conduct SOP" feature for our SOPs. Any time you need to complete an SOP on a one-time basis, you can just click the "Conduct SOP" option in the ellipses icon next to an SOP on the SOPs table, or in the ellipses menu of the "View/Edit SOP" screen.
When to Use the "Conduct SOP" button
The "Conduct SOP" button gives you and your team an extra level of flexibility with your SOPs. With the click of a button, any user can self-assign an SOP and start checking off tasks. It's perfect for:
- SOPs that need to be done infrequently or at unpredictable times
- When an employee isn't able to conduct their scheduled assignment and someone else needs to pick it up
Conducting an SOP Now
The "Conduct SOP" button can be found in multiple places in the SOPs module:
- In the ellipses icon next to every SOP on your SOPs table
- In the "SOP Details" slideout pane that appears on the right when you click any SOP on your SOPs table.
- In the ellipses icon in the top right when viewing an SOP
Once you click "Conduct SOP", you'll be prompted to select the location where you intend to conduct the SOP. The location dropdown will only show the locations you are attached to. After selecting a location, you'll be taken directly to the conduct SOP screen.
Note: The "Conduct SOP" button will only appear when an SOP has at least one task.
Can any employee use the "Conduct SOP" button?
Yes. We realize that you can't predict when some SOPs need to be done, and the best person to conduct it at the moment might not be a Manager.
For that reason, we made it so even Employees can choose to conduct an SOP now. To make it easier for Employees to verify that they are assigning the correct SOP, they also have the ability to see the SOP before assigning it. They can't, however, edit any of the tasks or header fields within the SOP.
