Upon clicking on an SOP category, the list of templates within that category will show in a grid view. Each item in the list is composed of two pieces of information:
- The name of the SOP Template
- A link to view the template (i.e. "View Template")
|Tip: Pay attention to the naming convention given to templates. Each template name starts with a letter signifying the category it came from. For example, a template in Retail SOPs will start with 'R-' (e.g. "R- Storying Inventory"), meanwhile a template from the Distribution SOPs will start with 'D-'.|
Previewing an SOP Template
In order to preview a template, click the "View Template" button underneath the template name. The SOP will be comprised of all the components included in any other SOP, from the header boxes to tasks to citations. For a refresher on the different parts of an SOP, read How do I create a new SOP?
Our Regulatory Analysts have provided all necessary details for your team. Regardless of activity, we provide you the definitions, resources and context needed to complete the SOP to its fullest extent.
Note: Any task that has a citation attached to it is required by the regulations. Tasks without citations have been added because they represent best practices for a given activity.
Saving an SOP Template
Until an SOP has been saved to your account, you'll only be able to preview it. Once you find a template you'd like to add to your account, you can do so by clicking "Save To My SOPs".
Saving an SOP Template to your account creates a version of the template exclusive to your company
Once an SOP has been saved, you've created a carbon copy of the template that belongs to only your company. You can edit it, assign it, and create new versions just as you would with any SOP you'd created from scratch.
