Navigating the SOP Templates Module
Within the SOP Templates module, the templates are grouped into "packages," and then into categories within each package. For example, the "California Retail SOPs" package currently has a total of 123 SOP Templates grouped into 16 categories. Upon clicking on a category, the list of SOP templates in that category will expand.
For each template in the list:
- You can see the name and version number.
- You can preview the content of the template by clicking the name.
- You can see whether or not you've already saved it to your SOPs (yellow star indicates the template has already been saved to your SOPs, gray star indicates it hasn't yet).
- You can save it to your SOPs.
- You can download a .PDF of the template.
Tip: For our California SOP templates, each template name is prefixed with a letter indicating the package it came from to help differentiate the SOPs after you've saved them. For example, a template in the "California Retail SOPs" package will start with 'R-' (e.g. "R- Storying Inventory"), and a template from the "California Distribution SOPs" package will start with 'D-' (e.g. "D- Storying Inventory").
Previewing an SOP Template
To preview a template, simply click the template name. The SOP template will include all the components included in any other SOP, from the header boxes to tasks to citations.

Our Regulatory Analysts have provided all necessary details for your team. Regardless of activity, we provide you the definitions, resources, and context needed to complete the SOP to its fullest extent.
Note: Any task that has a citation attached to it is required by the regulations. Tasks without citations have been added because they represent best practices for a given activity.
Saving an SOP Template
Until an SOP has been saved to your account, you'll only be able to preview it. Once you find a template you'd like to add to your account, you can do so by clicking the "Save to SOPs" icon in the SOP Template list, or by clicking the "Save To My SOPs" button while previewing the template.
Saving an SOP Template to your account creates an editable version of the template in your Manage SOPs module.
Once an SOP has been saved, you've created a carbon copy of the template that belongs only to your company. You can edit it, assign it, and create new versions just as you would with any SOP you'd created from scratch.
