How often do I need to audit my business?

We recommend, as an industry best practice, that you perform an audit on a monthly basis. This typically results in a manageable number of action items, which means you can consistently complete those action items within 30 days. It doesn't necessarily need to be a full audit each month - it could just be a few of the categories where you historically have seen the most frequent occurrences of non-compliance. 

We believe this is a reasonable goal for our clients - all action items remediated within 30 days. Believe it or not, the goal is NOT to produce a 100% compliant audit report. That would be awesome, of course, but it's not realistic for most businesses. More commonly, every audit identifies a few issues that need to be addressed. The goal is to remediate those issues within a reasonable timeframe.
