Audits Created Since June 2020
Every audit on your company's Simplifya account identifiable by its unique 7-character audit number. There are two parts to the audit number:
- The first 2 characters (either "SA" or "TP") lets you know what type of audit it is.
- Audits whose number begins with "SA" are self-audits, or an audit that was conducted by someone at your company.
- Audits whose number begins with "TP" are third-party audits, or an audit that was conducted by third-party company you reached out to on Simplifya.
- The last 5 characters of the audit number indicate the ordinal number of the audit for your company.
Let's use the following audit number as an example: SA00249. Audit #SA00249 is a self-audit ("SA") and is the 249th audit conducted by this company ("00249").
Audits Created Before June 2020
If you've been with Simplifya since before June 2020, your older audits have a different structure and convention. Every audit that was created prior to June 2020 is identifiable by its unique 18-character audit number.
Let's use the following audit number to explain the convention:
0045SA042919016249
- The first 4 characters ("0045") indicate the ordinal audit number for your company. In this case, this is the 45th audit that this company has created.
- The 5th and 6th characters ("SA") will indicate whether the audit is a self-audit ("SA") or third-party audit ("TP"). In this case, the audit was a self-audit.
- Characters 7 through 12 are the due date of the audit ("042919"). This audit was due on April 29, 2019.
- The last 6 characters of the audit number ("016249") are a unique identifier we (Simplifya) can use to locate your audit in our system in the event you have questions or issues. If you ever have questions or issues with an audit, these are the characters we'll need!
